Guest guest
Oh, , You've made my day! What wonderful news!!! ((((((((hugs)))))))))) If I have a new lung, you know I'll be in California. What a dreamy thought. Caro, Can't believe I failed to mention your birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes, even if belated. I'm glad you had one of your best Bdays ever - that's fantastic! On the flip side, I'm terribly sorry you've got pneumonia - yuk! Hope the meds stop messing you up and kick in soon. You need to see a pulmonologist asap, and it's appalling that your pulmo left you in a lurch! Peggy, NO MORE of this cough and chest tightness business! Take extra good care of yourself, and make the big guy pamper you. You HAVE to get well - you've got big plans. Dawn, Funny, I can't drink icy cold water - it makes me cough. Oh, well. It sounds to me like you very likely need to make an appointment with a good gastroenterologist. Even though you're on Nexium, that may not be controlling your GERD. I take Nexium, but I also have to take a med called Reglan (metoclopramide) in order to keep things under control. I don't get the burning sensation - ever- but I've had many tests that show reflux. If they hadn't been able to improve that, it may well have kept me from being listed for transplant. You don't want to fool around with GERD under any circumstances, though. Just a thought.... Babs, I hate that people have genetic predispositions to illness. You've had such a heavy load to carry for so long, and still your sweetness shines through. Thank you for showing us such strength - what an inspiration you are. Chaz is a lucky man. Bruce, I hope you get a spa visit as soon as you're all better. I'll be hoping you get lots of good information Friday. I KNOW you'll go prepared. I'm sure you and the new doc will figure out what the right path is for you. However... WATCH OUT what you say about mexican food, my friend. Remember you have some native Texans on board. Many of us think the hype is well-deserved! If there isn't tex mex in heaven, I don't wanna go. Irene, I'm glad your plan is to rest for several days, at least, and that you have 2 days off work. You've been on my mind an awful lot lately - what a mountain of stuff you've had to cope with. Extra hugs and love are headed your way! Kathie, Thanks tons for the photo, lovely lady! It's great to have a face to connect to the posts and chats. , , , I'll bet if you had a back massage by my masseuse you'd change your mind. Sometimes she uses hot stones, but she doesn't just rest them on my back. She uses them to rub my back, neck, and shoulders. I tell you, she's got the magic touch. But I DO love a good foot or scalp massage too. It's all good!! Lou, Your doctor news is amazing. I would be very excited too. No crackles - what an incredible thought. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it! , It's crummy that you're dealing with vertigo. I don't have it, but a good friend of mine has suffered from it for years. Hers is definitely affected by stress. I hope you get some relief SOON - this is something you don't need right now (or ever!). Leanne, It does my heart good to hear that you went to the beautiful salt caves. I wish you could go every week. We all need to do something that feels like pampering once in a while, preferably often. I hope you are having lingering good effects from the experience. FYI, my latest LAS score was 47.8. gulp. Our dearest Queen, When I broke my femur and was stuck in bed for months, I thought the pain in my tailbone would do me in. It was nearly unbearable - I was begging for a pressure point injection. I will certainly be saying prayers for your comfort and pain relief, and that you and Lucian will learn how to administer the new meds without much difficulty. God bless you and keep you strong. Hugs and blessings, Gwynne IPF 7/04 listed for transplant 3-07 & 2-08 Texas
