Guest guest
Hello, I also am interested in this aspect.. from the point of view that I have a positive diagnosis lyme (bowen labs, Dr. Shoemaker, live blood analysis, etc) and was bitten by a tick... and have lead, mercury, cadmium... Great Smokies provocation test.. What do we treat first... the lyme or the metals... is it possible to do both... I have never met anyone who can tell me what comes first.. the lyme or the metals?? jane (no subject) > I would appreciate advise re mercury poisoning versus lyme - particularly > from Andy if you read this post. > > If a patient shows some improvement (not continuous, unfortunately) > following amalgam removal and chelation (formerly DMSA and now ALA only) > is > this confirmation enough of a definite mercury poisoning diagnoses. > > I am wondering if my CFS/ME symptoms could be lyme and after researching > this I am even more confused as there is so much of an overlap of > symptoms. Both conditions require 'long haul' attention and treatment, and having metals in you seems to slow progress in defeating lyme. The most convicing answer I've seen is to treat both at the same time. Generally, there is no reason that I'm aware of that both metal toxicity and lyme disease can't be addressed simultaneously.
