Guest guest
I know several of you mentioned that I should try to find a University Medical facility, etc. Then, we talked about Duke being the premier one in my area with NC Memorial being next. While I would like to connect with Duke, it scares me to think about being 3 hours away from my doctor. How could I possibly do that. Since I have the appointment for the second opinion and a discussion of VATS on 2/19 I am thinking of continuing with that and them make a decision on going to Duke, but how long does it normally take to get an appointment at a hospital like that? Guest guest
Ann, My appointment was scheduled about 3 weeks after I called. I would definitely keep your 2/19 appointment for the 2nd opinion. There's no reason to cancel it. Ask that doc where he/she would recommend you go for VATS and or evaluation. The more opinions and information you have, the better off you are! Beth in NC age 48 Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 "For as long as I shall live, I will testify to Love." Guest guest
Thats good news. That means if she decided after her 2/19 she wanted to go to Duke, still could be done by Early March so basically about a month from today. > > Ann, > My appointment was scheduled about 3 weeks after I called. Guest guest
Thanks. Would you mind telling me what Doctor at Duke impresses you? or would you rather e-mail it to me? Thanks. > > Ann, > My appointment was scheduled about 3 weeks after I called. I would definitely keep your 2/19 appointment for the 2nd opinion. There's no reason to cancel it.
