Guest guest
They stole three from me toothey said about the size of the end of your thumbwhich I thought was kind of a lotleft side two from the top one from the bottomBRETTUntil today I just thought they took one section of your lung and biopsied it.Now I find out they took two excisions from the upper lobe and one from the lower lobe (did left lung so only two lobes). So, I was curious if anyone else know how many pieces they had stolen while in a deeply drugged and paralyzed state. brett bowserbrett@... Guest guest
Bruce and Brett, They only took one piece from me but said it was the size and shape of a dorito chip. I have six large staples in the top of my lung ( thats where I have the heaviest scarring). Weird how even our biopsies aren't the same. Guest guest
My three were on average an inch by an inch by an inch or just under that. My latest CT they reference the staples and scarring....and also on one the stitches. > > > Until today I just thought they took one section of your lung and > biopsied it. > > Now I find out they took two excisions from the upper lobe and one from > the lower lobe (did left lung so only two lobes). > > So, I was curious if anyone else know how many pieces they had stolen > while in a deeply drugged and paralyzed state. > > > > > brett bowser > brettvectordist (DOT) com > > > > > > > > > > ______________________________________________________________________ ______________ > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
That is now considered 'Best Practice' & it's how they discovered that it is quite possible to have both Fibrotic NSIP and UIP in the same lung....that's why the jury is STILL out on whether Cellular NSIP leads to Fibrotic NSIP leads to UIP or whether a person can develop BOTH versions along side & independantly of each type. To my knowledge they've NEVER found Cellular NSIP & UIP in the same lungs! Conundrum of the moment! in Oz IPF:Fibrotic NSIP/UIP?????
