Guest guest
I believe that in some areas Social Services has some sort of service that helps with that or something. I remember hearing someone else (not on this forum) say that. It may be worth a try. > > i don't know if u know how big i am....over 340 lbs....anyway it's hard > for me to stand for very long..how do u guys get any of your housework > done? my kids won't help...the last time my floors got swept was on > thanksgiving! i'm doing good just loading the dishwasher and fixing > supper..now i have to clean the kitchen,my room and the frontroom, i > swear my kids act like they was raised in a barn. everything gets > thrown on the floor for me to clean...i have tried waiting them > out....only i'm afraid i'll fall because i can't see my feet! >
Guest guest
Tammy She brought up a very good point in help from social services, maybe even some support for you in other ways. I hope you don't feel I'm crossing a line here in saying that you have to look out for yourself and if you need a counselor or someone in social services or anything you need to support you in that, you need to get it. You have a husband and children who should be acting like adults by now and their actions aren't giving you the respect and help you need. You're fighting an incredible battle by yourself and need to find someone to be on your side and help you stand up and protect yourself. You have many health issues and all they are doing is making them worse. You're trying so hard and they are just sabotaging your efforts. I don't mean to be ugly and maybe thats not their intent, but thats what is happening. Your illness, your weight, your stress, your smoking, his smoking all can either indivicually or collectively kill you. I hope you decide that you won't let that happen and you find someone to help you fight the battle in getting what you need. There are local services available and available for free. I don't know your area but can't imagine anywhere there aren't. I wish those who are with you and profess to love you could see and were doing all they could to help you in your fight, but they aren't showing that they can or are willing to right now. Maybe they just don't understand. I don't know. I do know the carolina girl did make me realize that help is there and you need it. There's a saying, " how can I fly like an eagle, when I'm surrounded by a bunch of turkeys. " Well, in your case, its how can I take care of myself when all around me are blind to my condition. There's someone near to help. Your life depends on it, both in quality and quantity. We all know you're trying and tried so hard on the smoking and you'll try again and ultimately you'll do it. I don't know if your husband just wasn't willing to make any sacrifice to help or somewhere deep down just didn't want to be a cigarette addict alone. You know with an alcoholic couple when one decides to quit the other will sabatoge it for just such a reason. I pray and hope for you. You're a good person, struggling to fight some overwhelming obstacles. You can do it. We'll support you from here. There's some local help as well. You deserve better than the way things are right now. > > > > i don't know if u know how big i am....over 340 lbs....anyway it's > hard > > for me to stand for very long..how do u guys get any of your > housework > > done? my kids won't help...the last time my floors got swept was on > > thanksgiving! i'm doing good just loading the dishwasher and fixing > > supper..now i have to clean the kitchen,my room and the frontroom, i > > swear my kids act like they was raised in a barn. everything gets > > thrown on the floor for me to clean...i have tried waiting them > > out....only i'm afraid i'll fall because i can't see my feet! > > >
