Guest guest
, I am so sorry about your test results. Glad the Spiriva is working. Praying for you- Sarcoid/PF 3/2006 California P test for PH Got the Doc call on my test I had last Thursday. I had a Pulmonary Artery Catheterization. It was done in the ICU. Took about half an hour for Doc to cut my neck and insert catheter and get first set of readings. Then nurses did two more readings over the morning. In a 6:30 am out by 1:30 pm No pain , he numbed the area before inserting the catheter. All three readings were in the 40's, 24 or below is normal, so the tracleer I have been taking for over a year has not brought the PH down enough. So now will take both tracleer and Revatio. Will have this test redone in about six months. Started taking Spiriva for my Bronchiectasis. It is a COPD med that seems to be helping my breathing.http://www.drugs. com/spiriva. html P PM (Polymositis) 12/98, UIP 8/00, o2 24/7 8/04, PH 3/06, ILL yo 59 Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Guest guest
Anything that helps. I know my breathing is complicated further by my congestion. Unfortunately in the 40+ years they've tried, they've never found anything to clear my congestion. But with the Helios I had to switch from the hose that takes in air through one nostril and gives it out to the other to the hose that has both in and out in both nostrils in order to get good pulse from helios. Thats what the alternative hose is designed for, those highly congested. > > Got the Doc call on my test I had last Thursday. I had a Pulmonary Artery Catheterization. It was done in the ICU. Guest guest
P, I think this will be the way they will test my success or failure with Flolan. If I tolerate it, they will make a port right over my heart. He said about 6 weeks out. I am going to ask the doc about Spiriva. While I have been on pain meds, my coughing is so much better. Keep hanging in there old buddy. One day you may get to share a hospital room with a good looking woman. It is a surprise a minute in those joints. How's that little boy? Hugs, Joyce D.
