It didn't take long to find out. Within months, Olivia's pain and stiffness began ratcheting upward. "My pain used to hurt me very badly," Olivia said. "It was so bad I could hardly walk." It became difficult for her to perform the simplest of tasks, such as dressing herself. It got so bad that Olivia often cried while trying to get out of bed. That's a rough way for anyone to begin the day -- especially a child. Olivia is 10 years old. Arthritis is not just an "old person's disease."
