Re: gravel head & prednisone weight

Terry,

I get this off and on, and I find it quite alarming (crunch, crunch). My husband, however, who is a chiropractor says it is nothing to be alarmed about. My question is, does everyone have periods of time when the whole world seems to be covered in dull grey polka dots? These don't drift like floaters -- just full over the eyes, as if ones glasses have dried raindrops on them.

Just wondering. Also, in response to a previous post about the prednisone weight -- I went off prednisone for about a year ( that's when the docs still thought I had MS). I lost the weight and the moonface, but I'd have to attribute it to how very sick I got from the spread of the sarc to my lungs and lymph system -- the night sweats, fever, vomitting, etc. I wouldn't say it was worth it at all -- except for getting an accurate dx and better treatment. I'm back on 60 mgs a day, have gained back all the weight I'd lost, and have to show people my photo to prove who I really am ( the moonface is severe, as I have a naturally thin face). However, I am so much BETTER now that I am on the steroids, that I don't even care. My new motto is " Better Fat Thank Flat on Your Back, " which I was from Thanksgiving until the middle of April.

Life is full of trade-offs, isn't it?
