Guest guest
Hello to all To Beth, , Bruce, et all...I'm being good...honest...I'm using the 15 minute rule! The packers were the unpackers for whatever they packed. It's just going to be a search and destroy mission for Mike and Me to find everything. They started out OK but after 3 straight days of unpacking they just sort of PUT stuff where ever it seemed to be right. I would catch some problems but not all. After we get all the stuff where we wanr it, wwe then have to unpack what we packed !!! It's waiting in the garage! After that we still need to bring things from the other house ( only 5 minutes away) My cedar closet is still filled as are the cabinets in the basement. Since the house hasn't sold yet( damn) we have the opportunity to take it slowly. Joyce, It was great to see your post...you have total right to rant about that ICU disaster. Zena, You mentioned crackles. Mine stopped after many months of Prednisone etc. and have not returned. I hope your testing continues to be positve. Kerry, I've been off line during the move..I just read about your testing. My wishes for the answers you want. Babs, Fellow book lover and chocolate lover too!!! I love to read children's literature. Harry Potter , Secret Garden, Phantom toll booth just to name a few The Hobbit too!. I'm starting Limeny Snickets this week!!! Being an elementary teacher for many years before getting my MA as a Reading specialist I just love kid's booke. Sher, I read about your newest Doc. and the results. I hope the o2 situation settles down and that your eye feels better. Mike had both eyes done within 4 weeks and his vision is amazingly better and he had no problems with the surgery at all Jim, Your answer to those who ask about your retirement is great. I've been asked if I get bored just staying home and not working. Are they kidding?' My new job is working at living with this disease. That and unpacking!!!. Vicky, Good to see your post here!! I haven't seen posts from Irene, , Gwynne since I came back yesterday. That's it for tonight... -- Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! Guest guest
Regarding Irene: She's still in heavy pain and not eating and basically waiting for her Crohn's infusion on Wednesday. She communicated with her GI today and all appears to be set. She has a friend going with her so she doesn't strangle the nurse who caused all this by injecting blood thinner both in the abdomen where you wouldn't a person with Crohn's and by hitting her small intestine. If the injection doesn't solve the problem she may require surgery to remove the blockage within the small intestine. She should have more of a feel for that by the time she meets with her GI on Friday as the Crohn's treatment generally shows some effect quickly. Good thing I'm not in Toronto as I would be too tempted to find that nurse and randomly find painful places to insert a needle. Not really, but still fun to think about. She's been in about three weeks of unbearable pain and lost 25 pounds all as a result of medical mistakes starting with CT's for the wrong disease, including 8 ER's who wouldn't see her to take care of their own mistakes because they had their equipment shut down for the day, 8 hour waits then in other ER's to be followed by finding another, a couple of all night hospital stays, and an insane Rheumatologist. She's pretty much going straight to bed most nights when she gets home and staying in bed as long as she can until she must leave for work. Yes, somehow she's working. Thank God Wednesday is almost here. I look at some of the horrible things I've encountered in ER and then in the hospital, or things i thought were horrible, but then I talk to her and read about Joyce's problems and I know I've had it very easy. I guess its true twins really can feel when the other twin is in pain because I sure do feel for her right now. > > Hello to all > > To Beth, , Bruce, et all...I'm being good...honest...I'm > using the 15 minute rule! > The packers were the unpackers for whatever they packed. Guest guest
, I hear they're going to make a movie out of The Hobbit due to the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I hope so as that's one of my favorite books too! Do you like Louisa May Alcott? I've read and re-read Little Women so many times I've lost count.... And being an elementary school teacher I'm sure you're familiar with the Scholastic series...so bragging for a moment here...my niece, Ambrosek authored 2 books for them. One on Malcom X and one on the Scopes Monkey Trial. So, please unpack slowly, eating chocolate for energy (ok, sugar rush but energy just sounds better) and just plain pleasure, and remember to take extra good care of yourself. We moved last July so I understand what you're enduring right now. Big, big hugs!
