Guest guest
Hello to B. I've just received a link to a URL supposedly from you, but I suspect it is not. The URL ends in .ru so I suspect it is malicious and advise everyone in the group not to open it. I think your e-mail address book has been hijacked before, I know that like me you subscribe to UroToday. I think the virus is actually originating from there. it is not something you would suspect or expect from such a prestigious on-line publication but the last 2 or 3 times I have accessed UroToday direct my Avast virus checker has interupted and said it has stopped suspicious programming, probably malware. Avast is free to install; if you don't have a good anti-virus proegram it might be worth looking for Avast. Not sure how we can contact UroToday and advise them they have effectively been hacked. I had a similar problem with Accuweather last year and eventually stopped using the site. Best regards, Malaga, Spain

I know he has tried a number of virus checkers, but it's possible the spambot is not even running on his machine. It could be on someone else's machine that has his and our email addresses in its address book and has chosen as the victim to use as a fake " From " address. Lucky ! , If you wish, we can put you on moderation and kill any more of these that come through. It will mean a short delay for all your postings. Or if you have another email address we could register that one for you in this group and kill your old one. Or we can just wait and see whether the problem continues. As I have said to many others with a different problem, best of luck with this nasty disease. Alan
Guest guest
Depending on where lives I could recommend a few PC repair companies that should be able to fix this remotely. It will probably cost $100 or more as these can be nasty issues to resolve.[as to not violate the rules, I am not trying to solicit business for me or anyone I might be affiliated with, just trying to help out) El Horizonte wrote: > Hello to B. > > I've just received a link to a URL supposedly from you, but I > suspect it is not. ... and everyone, I know that has been trying to fix this problem.
