Metcalf Prostate cancer support group Dear , My name is Allie Novertia and I am an MSc Occupational Therapy student at Leeds Metropolitan University. I would like to carry out my research project as part of my MSc in Occupational Therapy on the meaningful leisure activities that people with prostate cancer participated in after a diagnosis of cancer and during their treatment; and whether the experience of surviving cancer has influenced their choices of meaningful leisure activities. I wonder if it would be possible for your organisation to assist me with the recruitment of the participants for the study. I am hoping to recruit four participants. The participants should be between 18 and 65 years old and have had chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or hormone therapy. Participants will have been discharged from the NHS. I have attached the participant information sheet for your information. I have also copied my research supervisor in case you should wish to contact her at any point. Please could you let me know if you feel your organisation could assist me in the recruitment of participants? If so I would be grateful for any further information you could provide regarding the ethical procedure for your organisation. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
