Guest guest
Hi Lynn and Vicki, Lynn I'd like to start by telling you how happy I am for you and your husband..Has he had a PSA after treatment? My husband is 66 years young and had 44 IMRT treatments,,,it's a form of radiation. My husband had a Gleason of 9 and a PSA of 7.9 had an agressive form of cancer. He was put on Zoladex, a hormone, to help slow down the cancer and shrink his prostate right away. He was on hormones for one year. My husband's PSA has been slowly climbing to 0.53. He has tests every three months, his last PSA went up from 0.52 to the 0.53 so it had slowed down thank heavens. The oncologist is watching my husband's tests and we see him the end of December and my husband has another PSA test in a couple of weeks so I just kind of hold my breath everytime he has his test. Vicki,,I want to wish you and Lynn a continued low PSA for your husbands. It's nice to chat with other women who understand what prostate cancer is all about and also understand how we, as the wives, feel about how this desease changes our lives. Have a wonderful holiday. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Best Wishes, Sheila Vicki,
