Hi Folks,,,PSA is still rising,,doctor is ordering a bone scan, an advanced CT scan of the pelvi and surrounging area,,and the third one we have to get at the Lahey Clinic or Mass. General in Boston,,I have to call the office to find out the name of that scan..I'm really scared..we went to the urologist and he had a prostate cancer specialist from Boston on staff and he wanted us to talk to her..his PSA is slowly rising,,but the doctor did the doubling time,,,I think that's what it is and she said she would put money on it that the PSA will reach 1.00 by mid March,,so we are having the scans..she talked to us about salvage surgery,,she told us he would have to wear a pad because he would loose control of his bladder,,,there is no nerve sparing and any libido he does have will be gone,,forever. This whole thing stinks,,My husband said he's just going to be positive,,and wait and see. I just want to know if anyone out there has had this surgery...she didn't talk much about the hormones,,we see her in March and take it from there,,,my husband said he would NOT have the surgery unless it was absolutely necessary. So we sit and wait,,,it's so nerve racking. I was trying to get my husband to open up to me,,but all he said was "I don't have cancer and that's the end of it",,so we don't talk about it much.

Any info would be appreciated..

Best Wishes to All,

Sheila
