I would just comment that perhaps the diagnosis of the cause of death is not as accurate as it may be; where are they getting the data used in these comparative studies? Many death certificate are issued with only a skimpy explanation, such as pneumonia, when caner is the underlying cause. Many death certificates fail to fill in the "caused by" sections. Perhaps a study should be done double checking the causes of death?
