Guest guest
My name is Galvin, I am 24 years old. I was diagnosed with RP in Nov. 97. It started in my ears, effected my left eye, my knees & ankles, and in Oct. 98 my Trachea, requiring me to get a tracheostomy. I was on 60 - 80 mg. of Prednisone along with Imuran(until it made me violently ill for 1 month) and then Methotrexate injections. The RP effected these different parts of my body for 2 years continually. I have now been in what is said to be remission for one year, off all meds. and healthy (other than weighing 185lbs. from steroids, when I had previously never weigh over 105lbs.). Doctors are going to give me general anesthesia and do a larygoscopy(? spelling?) to see if they can think about removing the trach. Previously this has not been done by any of my doctors or their collegues, can anyone let me know if this has ever been done on anyone before and what were the results? Thank you, email me at angelamg@... ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com?sr=mc.mk.mcm.tag001
