Guest guest
Hello Group, Just got my blood results back from the lab 39 months after IGRT. My PSA has dropped to 1.13 (down from 1.7 in Sep 2011). This is now the 6th quarterly fall in a row and I'm really pleased as it looks like I may finally end up below the magic 1.0 Have not had my consultation with the Onco yet as that isn't due until April - I decided to have tests early as I hope to be back in UK by April. Testosterone has fallen yet gain to 2.3ng/ml (down from 3.65 back in Sep). I'm not sure why the continuing fall as I have never had any 'hormone therapy' at any stage in my treatment. Onco has never had any explanation for this as she doesn't see it as an issue. Anyone else had falling T after radiation (without ADT)? Anyone know if falling T can be caused by stress? That's tremendous news Chris. It took about 5 years for my PSA to reach its low point after radiation. So hang in there. Your trend is excellent, and I'm hopeful that the PSA will go lower and stay down. .... > Anyone know if falling T can be caused by stress? Searching Google for " effect of stress on testosterone " I see a lot of hits that say Yes, stress can lower testosterone levels. There's no doubt that you've been through some serious stress! Guest guest
Thanks for the feedback Alan. I hadn't realised reading your previous posts that you had taken 5 years to reach nadir. I was a bit worried before this last result that things were going too slowly, but this is a significant drop and I am very pleased.
