Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Thank you for approving my membership to the group. My son is 7,6 years old and has a dx of Aspergers. We recently had him tested for bacterial infections and below are the results, Mycoplasma Antibodies IgM Quantatative – High M. pneumoniae IgM – Equivocal M pneumoniae IgG – Positive Borrelia Antibodies Western Blot IgM – Positive Western Blot IgG – Negative Helicobacter Pylori Antibodies IgG – High / Positive Does the IgM positive for Borrelia mean he has lymes? I am feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment and any input would be so appreciated. We have tried so many interventions the last 3 years with no success, however, we have never considered bacterial infections as a cause for his problems. Thanks so much. Guest guest
Yes, and a more recent exposure with IgM. The mycoplasma is important too. Need a good doc who understands this--for help. Guest guest
2 out of 3 bands IgM or 5 out of 10 bands IgG are a positive result for lyme. , most physicians treating lyme would also compare to symptoms because lyme is a clinical diagnosis. Guest guest
Sounds like an active lyme infection and an active pnemonia infection going on. See a LLMD as soon as possible would be my recommendation...I have a son with autism and now after 3 yrs of treatment he is 99% better, completely off spectrum and behavioral issues are a thing of the past...we too never thought to look into bacterial causes, but wow what a difference treatment has caused! Also, look into anti-parasite treatment, a diet change, low/no sugar, and co-infections and the always a pain, yeast and fungus, because these can cause alot of problems and keep our kids sick too.
