There is always a good deal of hot air in connection

with the PSA test and the arguments have been stirred up again by the latest

recommendation from The US Preventive Service Task Force (USPSTF). Accusations

are made, tempers flare, soundbites multiply. In the midst of all this chaos, a

man like A.Black who has built a great website over the years publishes

references to the studies that inform both sides of the argument. You can read

it and go to all the links on his site at http://palpable-prostate.blogspot.ca/2011/10/uspstf-draft-report.html

I realise that this post will not convince anyone at

either extreme of the believer/non-believer chain, but for those in the centre,

where the majority of informed people usually reside, it might be a useful

exercise to gain a better understanding.
