Guest guest
http://weather.aol.com/2012/07/20/sniffing-out-a-summer-storm#page=1 interesting, always searching for why low barometric pressure and overcast or pre-rain is such a downer and behavior instigator for my kiddo, this could be a partial explanation, increase in ozone at lower altitudes and metabolic by-products of bacteria and algae. Perhaps it is affecting our kiddo's bacteria and in turn, our kids! Heidi, this could be why your high anti-oxidant supplementation works on these days!!!! Guest guest
Well, actually Goji is the only thing that prevents me and one of my children from reacting badly to pre-rain moments. But, I have to take it daily, for it only prevents, not stops the reaction. It takes 24 hours to work, so if it continues to rain on and off, taking it late is helpful. But, I just take it every day, so I don't need to be "down" during pre-rain time-frames. I get tired, headaches, etc. I am so tired, I can barely walk around, so I can't do anything other than basic functions. I guess it's kind of like a Lyme attack. I only have to take one capsule of Goji a day, which is cheap. Interestingly, the many other anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants I have tried have not had this helpful effect. I sure wish I knew how it worked, because it might be very helpful to some. Love and prayers, Heidi N http://weather.aol.com/2012/07/20/sniffing-out-a-summer-storm#page=1 interesting, always searching for why low barometric pressure and overcast or pre-rain is such a downer and behavior instigator for my kiddo, this could be a partial explanation, increase in ozone at lower altitudes and metabolic by-products of bacteria and algae. Guest guest
Oh, right, Goji! I'll have to test my daughter for it in capsule form, she does not test for dried Goji berries and lots of anti-oxidant rich foods with that intense color that would be so good for her. She is that miserable too! It's really hard to see a kid feel that bad, and an adult for that matter. I'm glad you found something that brings you relief. Guest guest
Hi, This topic is studied by our son's own physician, i.e., weather related change and patient wellness/illness and also by others. One very well known doctor, now deceased, was Felix Gad Sulman, MD and DVM of Jerusalem, Israel. His book: Health, Weather and Climate is a good one. He and others believe/d that the neurotransmitters are at play; primarily it is thought that serotonin is the main antagonist in this illness. Right now the sunspot cycle is peaking out, and that causes health issues as well. Guest guest
Hi Corelia, I'm interested in this as it is very obvious it affects my daughter. Changes in animal behavior is acknowledged but not human behavior. Perhaps ,Is it only in the ill? I love hearing from Heidi because as an adult she can communicate what my daughter can not, they have many simialrities in presentation. I'd be interested in the name of your doctor, if you could email me off list. I will look into the book, Health, Weather and Climate. Thanks for your input on the subject.
