Guest guest
Don, Would you let us know the results and what they recommend as treatment? Thanks, Doug 1. Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN Posted by: " DonM " donaldmuridan@... donaldmuridan Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:49 pm (PDT) A quick update. I'm at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for a C-11 Choline Pet/Ct Scan. The process was fairly uneventful. They inject you with c-11 choline and the scan which takes about 1/2 hour. Here is a video below. May be of interest who is diagnosed with micro metastatic PCa that is still looking for a curative solution. http://askdrbarken.wordpress.com/2011/12/25/c-11-choline-petct-scan-dr-eugene-kw\ on-mayo-clinic/ Don M. That was a terrifically interesting video. I recommend that everyone with metastatic disease have a look at it. Alan
Guest guest
Doug, I didn't get any results at the Mayo Clinic. The Mayo clinic will be sending all the information from the scan to my medical oncologist at Fred Hutchinson/SCCA in Seattle (he's the one who ordered and sent me to the Mayo clinic). I'm meeting with him this upcoming week to discuss the results of the scan. I'm praying it's not systemic but still localized somewhere so I can be treated with radiation or surgery. I will post soon as I learn more later this upcoming week. don m. > > Don, > > Would you let us know the results and what they recommend as treatment? > > Thanks, > > Doug > > > > > > 1. > Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN > Posted by: " DonM " donaldmuridan@... donaldmuridan > Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:49 pm (PDT) > > > A quick update. Guest guest
Don, Thanks for the link to the C-11 choline PET scan. PC is a very strange cancer. Dr Walsh states in his book that cancer can spread and still grow slowly. PSA doubling time is important. We will be praying for you. Charlie D.
