Choosing 'Watchful Waiting' for Prostate Cancer

of particular interest because Eddie Carrillo, the man at the centre of the

piece was 52 and was diagnosed 15 year ago. I was 54 and diagnosed 16 years

ago. We were both 'young' and both resisted the pressure to have immediate

invasive treatment. We both understood the concept that not all

cancers are the same and not all are life-threatening and felt that our

diagnoses fell in the latter category.
