I have been a little busy the last couple

of days, so I have not had a chance to join in this thread. Many of the questions

can be answered by going to my website at YANA

– You Are Not Alone Now at http://www.yananow.org.

To answer this question about penis

clamps, I suggest you go along to http://www.yananow.org/Links.shtml

and enter penis clamp in the site search engine. This will give you links to

the stories of a number of men who have used these devices. It seems to me that

rather more men have used a penile implant – enter that and there will be

many more entries to read.

Penis Clamp for Incontinence?

I had a radical prostatectomy almost 5 years ago. I'm

generally continent, but have leakage in two situations:

a) riding a bike (with " no-nose " saddle) for more than an hour, and

B) fast walks in the late afternoon.

I'm thinking about a penis clamp -- probably one of these two:

http://www.ppstop.com/

http://www.vitalitymedical.com/jackson-medical-j-clamp.html

The clamp, in particular, has some brilliant features. It was designed

by someone who started by asking:

.. . . How can I clamp the urethra shut, and have minimal effect on blood flow

through the penis?

If anyone has experiences (good or bad) to share, I'd love to hear them. The

clamps aren't cheap.

Thanks --

I found the C-3 Continence Clamp. It is 6 clamps for $60 plus $9.95 shipping. I know that government agencies get about a 50% discount. I tried the clamp yesterday.wasn't bad, didn't hurt anything and worked great.

What I have found of importance, it is best to sit on the commode with the

penis lowered into the commode when releasing the clamp. This avoids the

released urine spraying other than directly down.

Chuck --

This sounds like a mistake you don't make more than once!<g>

Thanks for the warning.

The C-3 is here:

http://www.srsmedical.com/products.php?product=penileclamp

It's described as a " disposable " clamp. A question:

.. . . How many times do you use one before throwing it away?

I've ordered a clamp, and will report back on its comfort and

effectiveness.

I know that government agencies get about a 50% discount. I tried the clamp

yesterday.wasn't bad, didn't hurt anything and worked great.

Is there not a risk of back pressure affecting the bladder and kidneys, perhaps causing a hernia on the bladder, and damage to the kidneys if the clamp halts a very urgent attempt to urinate? I suppose there's a small risk. But when would a man with a _normal_ sphincter

ever have a " very urgent attempt to urinate " ? [*]

The clamp instructions (if I remember right) say to remove it every two hours to

empty the bladder. That should take care of any back-pressure.

.. . .

[*] My fantasies just extended to getting kicked in a street fight . . .
