I have been watchful waiting for about 8 years, psa was 2.99 and a gleason of 5 at begining, went to 4.0 and stayed there for a long time. The past 2 years, the psa rose to 6 and now it is 8.2 and a gleason of 8.2 am 63 years of age. after much sleep loss and anxeity, have decided to have external beam. all docs say encouraging things, we will see. biopsy had 2positive out of 12, am scheduled to have the gold markers put in, another time to assume the position. will continue to tell my story. There are some very brave men who have expressed their thoughts and feelings, my thanks to all of you and will strive to do the same. will be strong, thoughts and fear vary at times.
