Guest guest
There is a lot of talk about Ipads to help those who are non-verbal. I wonder how much they effect the immune system, and if it's worth the trade-off. I am not referring to my own children because they are all verbal, but I am referring to other children, whose parents are not likely going to be able to afford and have access to biomed. I know some parents who can't even afford a computer. I have heard that some organizations are giving away free Ipads to special needs children, and I am wondering how much these items are going to adversely effect their immune systems. For me, I can't tolerate cell phones at all. I would hate to think of a child having his head near a cell-phone-type device for long periods. My husband says that Ipads can use either WiFi or cell-phone towers. So, if so, maybe WiFi is better than the cell-phone towers. I think I get more ill from cell-phones than WiFi. I am not technologically wise, so I am wondering what you all can tell me. Or, maybe you can recommend another type of device to help children learn to speak. I am thinking about a 4.5 year-old currently. Love and prayers, Heidi N
