Guest guest
Awwwww Jewls, Don't be sorry, was a great conversation and maybe it will encourage some in our group and in others to start writing letters so that people like you, who have to take medications and don't have the coverage to beable to afford them without causing other financial strains which tend to stress us out severly at times which then can make our symptoms worse and aggravate this disease. It is a viscious circle and it ticks me off that you have to deal with this. I think the writing that was going on over this issue was good for both and I who have our own frustrations over this issue, it let us vent, and maybe got others to think. I hope you are having some luck with contacting someone who can help alleviate the financial burden you have been forced into. Are you feeling any better at least? BTW, something you may want to think about that should be offered to you at most pharmacies (I have had to do this in the past myself) is buy your meds one week at a time so you don't have to pay so much at a time. Breaking it up into weeks may be a little easier on the wallet. *HUGZ* Jody ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
Hi Jewls- I don't think you should apologize. If we wouldn't have had this discussion, no one on either side would have expressed a difference of opinion. There's absolutely nothing wrong with disagreeing and it's good to see both sides of an issue. Sometimes in this day and age, I think we equate disagreements with attacks on character. I don't think that's true and I've found everyone on this BB to be great regardless of whether I agree with them or not. And your insurance problems are an illustration about how the problems with being uninsured have to be addressed. I can't get it back either UNLESS I get pregnant again...go figure! I just think as a norm, businesses period should supply ALL their employees insurance, even if it's just a prescription plan or covered dr's appts....either would help tremendously! LIke for instance, the last couple of days, I've been dealing with a migraine headache that comes and goes....it goes away right after I take my propanolol then comes back mid afternoon, early evening...anyone else have this problem? I thought about buying my meds once a week, but it's a pain with working and taking care of the kids to get to the pharmacy. I will just start getting it, when I refill my Birth control pills (SOMETHING else I wish was covered under insurance!!!). Jewls
Guest guest
Jewls, Your propanolol is a Beta Blocker...I was put on a beta blocker at age 28 for high blood pressure, the dr that put me on it said it would also help allievate my mirgraine headaches that I had been plagued with since the age of 15...and it did help...so that might answer that question...could you be getting the headaches from the Tap? <<<LIke for instance, the last couple of days, I've been dealing with a migraine headache that comes and goes....it goes away right after I take my propanolol then comes back mid afternoon, early evening...anyone else have this problem?>>> How many little ones do you have Jewls? Are they eligible for medicaid? As for your birth control pills...do you live in an area where they have a county health department and clinic? Here anyone whose birth control pills are not covered for them they can get them there for free or a very nominal price. Back many years ago I use to pay just over 3 dollars for the pill when I was on it for a shot time, now I can not believe how high the cost is!!! But check your county for the health department and see if you could get them there, also if your kids don't have medical coverage all of their shots and immunizations should be done there at no cost to you. <<<I refill my Birth control pills (SOMETHING else I wish was covered under insurance!!!).>>> What state do you live in? If your comfortable saying that that is. *HUGZ* Jody ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

I knew that the propanolol was a BB. That's a very good thought though about the tap....I dunno..will have to check into that. How many little ones do you have Jewls? Are they eligible for medicaid? My son is almost 12 years old! and my little one Elena is almost 7 months old (tomorrow, Monday). is covered under his dad's insurance (my ex) and Elena does have medicaid, so that's a HUGE relief! BC is on $12 but ya know it really adds up. This afternoon I was complaining to the pharmacist when she told me the price went up again...she looked at me and said you could be paying full price for the name brand kind.....oh how true! Thanks for the info! Jewls
