Guest guest
I have been trying to get information about testosterone replacement for prostate cancer patients and have found some interesting information. I, like probably most of you was of the opinion that this was a bad idea. It seems there might be new information about this. My oncologist here in Tucson, said that a few years ago she would not recommend it, but now she might be inclined to. That is what prompted my research. I would like to get more input about this by asking what you know or believe. If you have other links, please share them. It was always told to me that cancer feeds on testosterone and that is why certain modalities are followed. I often found it odd that prostate cancer was prevalent in older men, those with a lower testosterone level, yet men that were much younger, with a higher testosterone level were not the usual prostate cancer patient. The video by Snuffy Myers is very interesting as well as the research by Abraham Morgentaler. Please follow the links and post your thoughts… Thanks in advance for your input. http://askdrmyers.wordpress.com/category/erectile-dysfunction/ 4th video down " Regarding these findings, one of the most well-respected researchers on this subject (Abraham Morgentaler, MD, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston MA) states, in a recent editorial, " Finally, after 7 decades of circumstantial evidence pointing us in the wrong direction, perhaps it is time to consider the once unthinkable: a T therapy trial of sufficient size and duration to determine whether normalization of serum T in older men may reduce the risk of PCa, particularly high-risk PCa.
