Guest guest
I was recently diagnosed as type 2 diabetic (insulin resistant. I have not had a family history of diabetes but I am a little over weight. When my wife went to a pharmacist's meeting on Prostate Cancer and its treatments they said that hormone treatments (ADT) like Lupron can cause insulin resistance as a side effect. This is the first I had heard of it. If this is true what happens when (if) you get to go off ADT. Will your blood sugar levels return to normal? I was on ADT for 3 years while I was being treated in other ways for PCa. I have now been off it for 5 months monitoring my PSA to see how effective the other treatments were.
