He then sent me over to the hospital to have a blood sample drawn for a PSA test about an hour later. Will the prostate massage prior to the blood sample cause a spike in the PSA?

My PSA reading went up about two points with a blood draw taken about 1/2 hour

after a digital exam. But I wonder if this might give a more accurate reading on

the % free part of the test?
