When anyone is away, it is different. Hope you are feeling better from the nausea as well as the pain. Guest guest
Dear Diane, I did miss you but thought maybe you had gone away as you were considering. I'm sorry to hear you were that sick. It is good to see you back. I think it is terrible that no one has shown you how to use the TENS unit. I have used one in the past for my herniated discs. I LOVED it. It felt really good when it was on. I didn't notice any long term benefit but I'm not sure it was supposed to have a long term benefit. I didn't actually get my own. I had it as part of my physical therapy. I hope you are feeling much better!!!
Guest guest
>I also got my TENS unit...although no one taught me how to use...and I have to wait for an appt just to get a nurse to teach me about it. They wanted me to just see if I could figure it out from the directions...I don't think so!!!! At least 3 different times the directions say to set it according to the health professionals directions. It is so difficult to get help from Vanderbilt. I hope I get a chance to do a patient satisfaction questionairre...somebody > need to know how difficult this has been for me. Someone who cares that is. > Diane > Ps--I also had an MRCP--I should get the results this week to see if the ducts are clogged. They used ocntrast so the pictures should be clearer. Hi Diane. Glad you're back & hoping you really are feeling much better. Did the MRCP go OK? (I mean the procedure. Its probably too soon for results.) Good luck with the TENS unit. Its unbelievable that they expect you to figure it out yourself. I had a unit a few years ago. First the electrodes were applied by the physical therapy dept. people, then we started experimenting with the different strenths, wave patterns, placements of electrodes. I can't imagine having to try to do it without help. Good luck with the device, though. Lots of people have had good results, at least temporarily. Hope you're having more comfortable days..... jang
