Yes, I second seeing a MD  knowledgeable in DANS/Lyme because there are so many culprits out there. I guess I had assumed this parent was already seeing one. I have a 5 yr old son who was autistic and it was lyme induced and once treated for lyme he is 99.5% recovered from his autism symptoms, only having weird OCD/skin picking/hand flapping when he caught strep throat (strep A) which the disorder PANDAS is common after exposure to strep A. Zithromycin, bam, symptoms gone. A great detox regiment is so important as well as all the various supplements. I do not buy it that autism is not treatable. I think in some to most cases, it is. I definitely enjoy reading all the questions, stories,and support ideas on here.
