Guest guest
Hi Deborah We didn't do the test for CFD with Dr Quadros as I live outside the U.S. and the blood specimem would have taken a few days to arrive even under the best of circumstances and it needs to be sent overnight. Our DAN, who did the original study on CFD and autism, suggested we do a trial of high dose Leucovorin Calcium, based on my daughter's high FIGlu marker on her OAT.. My daughter is an undermethylator with high histamines, but by slowly increasing the Leucovorin and adding lots of MB12, and DMG, this has been one of our best interventions. The cognitive and speech gains have been impressive. We had tried the Yasko recommendations for folate/.B12 supplementation, but the amounts were piddly compared to what my daughter needed.. We will continue to slowly increase the Leucovorin. Yes, there were side effects in the beginning but these soon dissipated. I know some kids do better on Leucovorin and others on l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, but I think it's a case of trial and error to see which version your child tolerates best. I have a local friend with a fourteen year old son on the spectrum who also trialled high dose Leucovorin Calcium and she is also very happy with the improvement she has seen in her son. My pandas doc sent me the lab forms for checking for the CFD but I cant get blood out of him, was going to check me also... deborah> > > > >> > > > > For our son it was HSV #6.ΓΒ Being on Acyclovir helped a lot.> > > > > Leann> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________> > > > > From: "klwadler@" <klwadler@>> > > > > To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism ; Lyme-Aid > > > > > Sent: Monday, May 14, 2012 6:36 PM> > > > > Subject: what causes noise sensitivity?> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ΓΒ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am wondering if there are any vitamin/mineral deficiencies that can cause > > > > > noise sensitivity. my son gets very aggressive when he hears loud noises. > > > > > karen > > > > > In a message dated 5/12/2012 8:14:08 P.M.
