4discussion is currently conducting some market research into cancer related pain and the side effects of pain medications. As part of this project we are seeking patients to participate.I would be extremely grateful if you could mention the project to any patients attending your support group you can identify that meet the following criteria:

§ We are looking for patients suffering from pain relating to their cancer or treatments for cancer (e.g. surgery and/or chemotherapy)

§ Patients that are currently suffering from significant pain, or being treated for pain with Opioids.

§ Patients that have experienced new or worsening constipation symptoms since taking their medication(s).

Please find attached a letter to hand out to any interested or suitable patients, if you would like me to send hard copies of the letter please inform me of an address to send them to. Alternatively I’ve attached the information in a poster format suitable for notice boards.

The project will involve taking part in a 60-minute telephone interview on a date/time convenient to you.

As a thank you for taking part in the research we can offer the patient £40.As a thank you for your time and help, we would like to offer £40 for each one of your patients who goes on to take part in the marketing research project.
