Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I did see the link on the sea vegetables on mountain rose herbs. The form of CoQ10 I was talking about was idebenome. I did take astaxanthin was a month last year. Do you think you may have healed enough to try more greens, if you cook them very well, and liquify them. I add a good amount of braggs apple cider vinegar to greens and coconut oil and cook 3-4 hours. My sprouts did ok, except the mix of brown rice and wild rice-it turned sour. c > > > > > I have just been to the supermarket to buy some seaweed and it was really expensive, it is cheaper at our local chinese takeaway for a tray. I am going to try to find a chinese supermarket, and see if I can buy it fresh there > > I can see why Bee is concerned about high iodine, it seriously affects the thyroid, and so it will not be a good idea to eat seaweed every day, just twice a week or so might be best. Seaweed is surprisingly low in carb and high in nutrition, highter than most vegetables. I am thinking that because I am missing out out some nutrition from vegetables, eating so low in carbs that is, 15g, eating just carb foods that are compact in a lot of variety of nutrition might help me obtain at least a little more of what I need. A low dose of kelp might also be an alternative > > I also read that you are considering cq 10, I have heard a great deal of good about this anti-oxidant. It is a bit costly, but studies show it is particularly affective for parkinsons, which was why I was reading up on it > > I think my dad would benefit, but he is driving me mad right now, moaning about costs and swallowing supplements, so just keeping things simple for now. If he continues to be awkward I may move him onto the meal replacements ketocal, I know this is not the best move, but I am becoming pre-occupied with his needs and neglecting my own and my families > > If I can find cq10 at a low price I might give it a try. I am currently daily taking turmeric and considering astaxanthin, but with the astaxanthin it is again the cost, turmeric and kelp are very cheap. I will continue researching > > Love Joanne > >

Guest guest
Hi Joanne, That dulce listed is lower in iodine than other sea vegetables, and seems to have a good amount of potassium. C > > Thanks for this , it states that it is checked for chemicals, heavy metals and so on, which is another issue sometimes raised about seaweed. > Â > Anyway, other than possible pollution and of course the risk of high iodine if eating it every day I really cannot see any issues with it, and it is absolutely delicious and low carb so I am going to be having it. It does seem to contian more of an array of nutrition too, than many other vegetable plants. I am happy with this, which makes a change for me when it comes to plant foods LOL > Â > Love Joanne > > > To: fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Saturday, 25 August 2012, 22:55 > Subject: Re: Seaweed, folic acid and antioxidants when using ketosis > > > Â > vitacost seaweed > > http://www.vitacost.com/maine-coast-sea-vegetables-organic-dulse > > c
Guest guest
Hi Joanne, that link you sent from Mark's daily apple on them mentioned dulse as being lower in iodine, so gave that link to it in vitacost, in particular. that article also mentioned that there was uncertainty of exactly what nutrients were in each sea vegetable, so guess not all were tested. > > > > > Â > I have never heard of this Dulce before, I do so want to learn about these sea vegetables, it all sounds so good!!!! > Â > It is better that this vegetable contains less iodine, but on the list it does not seem to mention folic acid. I might just be not seeing it, I do sometimes look and look and not see things, but what do you think of this? Do you think it will contain folic acid? > Â > Love Joanne > Â > said............... > Â > That dulce listed is lower in iodine than other sea vegetables, and seems to have a good amount of potassium. > > Re: > > > > http://www.vitacost.com/maine-coast-sea-vegetables-organic-dulse > > > > > > >
