Guest guest
I, too, am an A. I tried the diet for a year and found that in some ways it did help me, but not 100%, especially as I gained moreweight instead of losing like I was supposed to. In fact I think I’ve tried almost every type of diet and they all failed me in one way or another. Dr D’Adamo’s plan is good but I think there are some factors that are missing. I think it is a good place to start though as he too recommends foods in their natural state. For me personally, though, the recommendation that A’s should eat mostly Vegetables and grains didn’t work. I did all the testing that was required and had my diet personalized, but I ended up feeling worse than before. As with all diet plans, it does work for some people, but it didn’t work for me like I wanted it to. The blood type A personality fits me too.O know, many people on here don`t agree with the blood type diets.I do know many people doing it,and they seem to be having good luck with it.I don`t really like many foods on my blood type diet.I do feel better when I try and stick to it.One thing, about people on here only eating 8 grams of carb,or however much you eat.In the GAPs book,Natasha talks about desensitizing yourself to the foods you can`t eat.By using homeopathy or NEAT,I think, was the other thing she was talking about.I`m not that familiar with that.Another thing I learned from my autism group,if you eat alot of meat and can`t break it down,it causes a lot ammonia to accumalate in the brain and blood, and can impair cognitive function. It`s great, you all have found something to help, stay pain free, for me,I think I do better with the blood type diet.Hard though,as I like meat, but,I don`t think I can digest it. > > Hi,Joanne > > I recently found this article and have been reading about Blood Type and relating to disease, personality ect. I'm blood type B. The article seems accurate comparing to myself. > > > > http://www.dadamo.com/bloodtype_B.htm > > Thanks > >
