Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the group. I am , sometimes I go by Butterfly. I'm looking forward to being here to pick you brains about what has worked for you and is helping your health improve. My main are a misfunction, is in the fatigue area. If I can self motivate to get up and say do some things around the house, it isn't very long until I'm drained. I also have other illnesses that I think contribute to the problem like 's Disease. Fibro and CFS. Asthma/Allergies. OA, Osteoporosis, sevreal degenerative discs and disease. Bad migraines. I don't think I sleep well enough at night, and never wake feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. Any ideas of what might help? I take thyroid, levothoroxine 100mcg, and cytomel .5mcg in as needed and could need more. I'm very unfamiliar with the natural approaches. Hi Joanne. Looking forward to hearing from others! <<Hugs>>
Guest guest
Hi , Joanne gives out good links to read when you join the group. I have fibro type pain, and herniated discs and osteoarthritis, but really, the pain was caused by other factors, and when I changed my diet, my pain level reduced, and other health problems got better too. Here is just one article on cod liver oil, as it can make a difference in many aspects of our health. A lot of us take it in combination with some other basic supplements, as these all work together. Many report less or no migraines when they go very low carb/moderate protein/high fat. Most of us change gradually, when we do the diet. I am still sensitive to chemicals, which is actually a good thing, the itching is a sign my body is getting better at getting rid of it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21324803 Best, C > > Hello Everyone, > I'm new to the group. Guest guest
Hello Welcome! We all have many other issues than Fibro and believe they are related. For me what is key is the diet , celtic sea salt, b12, b1, magnesium, I also take turmeric and cherry seed extract. I have to do b12 shots and so does my sister and mom who also have fibro. The diet definitely helps but I just take each day as a new day and try to do what I can and dont stress over what I can not...sometimes I get lots of energy and get lots of stuff done..I think my husband is glad this is not often. I had a stroke last year at 43 unrelated to fibro and my nerve issues. I am on meds to sleep due to the stroke it caused major nerve head pain so I do feel better but know next year the doctors will probably want me off of the sleeping pills. Coconut oil is also key many of us use it for cooking, make up remover, lotion and in our coffee/tea. Gluten is terrible for us causing inflammation and digestive issues It is hard in the beginning but once you get used to it then it becomes easier cause you totally notice if you cheat and for me its just not worth it Welcome!
