Guest guest
Thought I’d give a little update on my drug situation. On Friday I woke up barely able to breathe so I called the doctor’s office. They got me in and did an EKG—normal, blood pressure 154/92—slightly high, weight—gained 25 lbs in 2 1/2 months. The Cardiologist I saw said I was having Congestive Heart Failure and prescribed Lasix and Potassium. When I went to pick up the prescription, the office had called in the potassium and not the Lasix. And of course by then the office was closed until Tuesday because of the Labor Day Holiday. The pharmacist said I could go to the emergency room, but I decided not to. I had suspected that it was a new drug that I’d been given around the beginning of May, even though the doctor and nurse both told me it “couldn’t†be the drug. So I haven’t taken that drug since then and I’m breathing normally today and I feel so much better. I also weighed myself this morning and I’d already lost 5 lbs in just 3 days. It will be interesting to hear what the doctor says when I call them tomorrow. By the way, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad reaction to a drug. I have a list nearly 2 pages long of drugs I’ve tried and have had bad reactions to. Lucky me.
