Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I don't like to be contary but......there was a new diabetic drug put on the market last year. It seem to be the answer to all our problems. A miracle drug really. I have a friend who is a doctor and he gave me all the stats and information. There had been no deaths DOCUMENTED with this drug. I was so excited. I had an appointment at the endo's and I went in and demanded the drug. He said no way 3 people had already died within a WEEK of the drug being approved. Eighteen days later the drug was withdrawn. Forty-eight people had died. So I can't agree with you that the protcols are very ridgid. Guest guest
Hi Elaine- Yeah, but what if you have a problem no matter what you're on. I'm on 4 gr. of Armour which is supposed to be natural (240 mg). I've tried everything. And I don't understand why cell receptors would differentiate between " natural " and " synthetic " since they both have the exact same chemical structure with active areas that bind to the receptors. Which would be all that's needed to activate the cell. I'm sorry if I seem belligerent. Had a very bad day. Take care, Re: Graves > Hi , > that's an excellent possibility. Guest guest
Hi Elaine- I don't know about more dental problems but I've got something weird going on. The enamel on all my front teeth is wearing off. I thought that maybe I was brushing too hard but the dentist said that that wasn't what caused it. He accuses me of sucking on lemons. I've never done that. Now that you mention it, I have had to have one root canal because of an abscess with jawbone loss and 2 crowns put on because my teeth are cracking. Before RAI I'd only have a cavity once in a blue moon. I've always attributed it to aging. I was so young when I had RAI that I can never sort out what's what. What generally happens when I get hypo is that even the smallest scratch will get a nasty infection along with all the other problems that hypo brings. This doesn't happen when I'm feeling pretty good. Take care, Re: Graves > Hi , > I like your term walking infection. I think that's what happened to me from > that pseudo doc cutting my Armour. Guest guest
Dear Elaine That's really interesting (as while as being a 'pain'). I have had a sore tooth on and off for past couple of weeks. It wasn't too bad and not constant. But after just finding out I have been hypo it makes me wonder if the tooth is playing up because of that. I'm going to the dentist on Thursday, so I hope it's a simple thing to fix. Good luck with all your dental work. Hope it is not too painful anymore. Cheers Caroline daisyelaine@... wrote: > Hi , > I like your term walking infection. I think that's what happened to me from > that pseudo doc cutting my Armour. Guest guest
Have you ever tried colloidal silver as an antibiotic? It has replaced traditional antibiotics for me, for the most part. I haven't taken antibiotics for some time, except for a bladder infection that I didn't want to fool with. Guest guest
Thanks for the link, Val. Looks like people use Colloidal Silver for many different things. I've always only used it as an alternative antibacterial remedy. I think that I feel safe with it because I know that in the Ayurvedic tradition and also in Chinese medicine, metals are often relied upon. Upon review of some of the posts and the FDA papers, I am still ok with using it, especially topically, but will not recommend it to anyone else. I also want to point out that my uses of Colloidal Silver is few and far between. Guest guest
I can only speak from my own experience, as I have not even heard that much re Colloidal Silver from others -- the main thing I started using it for were rather severe throat and lung infections, which I was prone to when I was a smoker. Use to be I could count on at least once or two episodes with strong antibiotics per year, but when I switched to Colloidal Silver and Echinacea, I never had to do the antibiotics again. One thing, I would start taking the remedies as soon as I suspected my lungs or throat were going to be compromised - I think that's half the battle. If you follow Val's link, you can read about the " controversy " and also I think there's a link to a Colloidal Silver web site. I know what you mean about antibiotics. I use to dose myself with acidolpholous (sp?) after each bout with the medications. At 02:29 PM 03/20/2001 -0500, you wrote: >, >Would colloidal silver work on chronic sinus infections?
