Friends,

It makes me nervous to read about your drinking alcohol while on MTX.

Even a little can increase your chances of liver damage. As an

alternative, I'd suggest learning meditation (or getting a relaxation

tape); a natural high is far better! (Take it from someone who went

through treatment twice before the age of 20.)

I am trying to enjoy life while I can.

Who knows, I could end up in a wheelchair, my asthma could kill me, or we could find out that Celebrex causes heart attacks and strokes.

A natural "high" for me is when I stand up fast my blood pressure drops.

Meditation for me is listening to Led Zeppelin with my head phones on.

: )

I highly recommend life without alcohol.

For some, but my nightly glass of wine or a cold beer is all that gets me through the day, sometimes.

Alcohol in moderation leads to good bone density and a stronger heart (over symplified).

I do not take any drugs that react with it....
