I did not use it but I believe that when you use it you can't use

other pain medications at the same time I have heard that it is

highly effective and also expensive.

I can't help you from personal experience but if you go to ArthritisInsight.com

and click on message boards there is one on something like Medication Questions.

There are a couple of threads by people using or considering Duragesic Patches.

It's a free site (but donations are welcome) and the people on it are patients

rather than salesmen or medical practitioners. If you can't find it send me an

e-mail and I'll locate the link for you. God bless.

Hi all,

My doctor told me today that she'd like me to try something called a

Duragesic pain patch. She originally wanted to increase my Vicodin dosage

again but I'm not comfortable taking any more than I already do (6

pills\day) because of the risk of liver problems due to so much tylenol...

so supposedly this patch is an alternative to pills. I did a little

googling and it seems to be similar to a nicotine patch in that it releases

small amounts of pain medication over time, but everything I can find is

advertising from the company that makes Duragesic... no firsthand

testimonials on whether it really works or causes any side effects I should

be wary of?
