Guest guest
Ok......now I'm going to have to scold someone.....lol You don't know its not broken. There could be a bone broken. It could be a hairline fracture that would probably heel itself or it could be something needing help or even a chip of some sort. The fact there is no visible bruising concerns me more bone wise, although could still be an internal bruise of some sort. Now it could also be muscular in some way since just particular moves hurt. Regardless, you already know the answer before you even ask, you just don't like it, and that is you have to go get it checked out. Even if you're enduring the pain now, it could be something to cause problems later. So pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeee go get it checked out. > > Hi! > > Need some suggestions....I think about 2 to 3 weeks ago it happenned. I fell on the cement there was not any snow at the time only a small piece of ice. I hit the side of my hip and the pain is still there despite taking Extra Strength Tylenol, Tylenol #2 and Percocet. > > It does not hurt when I walk, which is a good thing!? There's no visible bruising or anything to suggest I hit it. The only time it hurts and I mean it seriously hurts is when I touch it, try to sit or get up from couch or chair...at night if I sleep on my side and I let my leg straight....and if leave it straight or stay on the same side for a prolonged time...I cannot move it. > > I know nothing is broken because I can walk and do things! I'm wondering though why the pain is still persisting? I know, I should have checked it out as soon as it happened, but I didn't, thinking the pain would go away! > > Irene > Raynaud's Disease 09/07 PF 03/07 Canada > > > ______________________________________________________________________ __ > Meet the new AOL.ca. Guest guest
Great. That will make me feel much better. I know the feeling. We always think we couldn't be really hurt and when we wake tomorrow we'll be fine....or the next day.....or the one after.... But the last thing you need is lingering pain. And, I'd say to push you to percocet it's pretty bad. > > > > Hi! > > > > Need some suggestions....I think about 2 to 3 weeks ago it > happenned. Guest guest
Irene...although you think nothing is broken, you could have chipped a bone... Pain indicates something is wrong. If you continue to have localized pain, go see about it. Let's hope all is well. Mama-Sher, ild 3-06, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! 2 weeks ago.... Guest guest
Bruce...yes, it's a good thing to get checked. BTW. What is intraocular??? Your reply to the pending cataract surgery leaves me confused because I'm not understanding. Yes, I do wear glasses...tri-focals in fact. The cataract being removed is actually very thin. Not one usually requiring surgery. I've had trouble with not seeing well for about 2, 21/2 years. No reason can be found. I've had every test that can be given . Everything is normal, Thank God. At least some things work well. Soooo, my ophthalmologist suggested we remove this cataract because my eyes are so sensitive that even tho' it's thin, it may be the cause of my poor vision in my right eye. As I've said before, if it weren't for poor health I'd have no health at all! lol Mama-Sher, ild 3-06, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! 2 weeks ago....> > > Hi!> > Need some suggestions....I think about 2 to 3 weeks ago it happenned. Guest guest
Bruce... are you saying after surgery I may not need glasses because the 'lens' in my eye has been replaced? Ye Gads, I am so far behind the times. Peggy: do you still wear glasses? Did you have done what Bruce refers to here? Thanks.
