Former USS WREN DD568 shipmate...contacted me on this site over the weekend;

apparently he too is experiencing prostate cancer, or have gone through it.

Unfortunately, I accidently deleted his message. Just wondering if he would

contact me again. Did not recall his name.

Sometimes I wonder if some of us Navy and Coast Guardmen's cancer may have been

caused by exposure to asbestos used extensively in WW-II and some KOREAN WAR era

ships? Many of us worked in the engineering spaces on those ships during the

'50s and '60s, as well a tearing the stuff out to replace the asbestos filled

insulation/lagging in those confined spaces.
