Guest guest
With only one sample out of 10 showing cancer, he sounds like a candidate for watchful waiting. I also believe absolutely that everyone has the right to choose whatever path they think will suit them best – as long as they are well informed about their choices. I have just uploaded the submission of Rossman - at http://www.yananow.org/Mentors/R.htm He was diagnosed, with one positive needle of GS 6, after his PSA was measured at 18.4 in October last year. BUT…..his last PSA on January 7 was 2.47. I don’t think he should have his scheduled RALP (Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery) on February 2. I think he should get a better understanding of PSA, of this disease, of the options, an expert review of his biopsy. He may after this still choose surgery. That is his right, but he doesn’t have to rush into it, I believe. Guest guest
I'm not sure about WW, but certainly much more investigation! It seems odd that his PSA went DOWN from 18 to 2.47 since October.Something had to change? With only one sample out of 10 showing cancer, he sounds like a candidate for watchful waiting. I read of at least one case where a guy had a biopsy report claiming cancer in one or two samples but the specialist lab that wrote a second opinion on it couldn't find any cancer at all. Guest guest
Sounds to me like he may have had a infection, or the PSA and Biopsy may be in question. Regardless, he should get two additional opinions....he has time. We all know that "Panic" sets in when one is dealing with an uncertainty such as cancer. - Spring (Houston),Texas Subject: I think this young man needs helpTo: ProstateCancerSupport Date: Monday, January 24, 2011, 2:00 AM I try to avoid commenting directly on experiences posted on the Yana site because I think it is important to try to be as neutral as possible.
