Guest guest
My brother and his wife lived with us for a few years. After my niece's first whooping shot she had a violent reaction. Her doctor agreed that there should be no more shots. She didn't seem to have complications. However, when she was all set to go to school we had a terrible time convincing the powers that be that she could not have this vaccination. We almost had to home school this poor child that had grown up on a farm with no friends and whose only dream was going to school. They finally relented. However, when she was 12 she developed cataracts and I've always wondered if that vaccination had anything to do with the cataracts.

Guest guest
To all: Following this thread on viruses and vaccinations -- I'm interested as it seems I had every known precipitating factor, from infection (six weeks of sinus infections) to pregnancy to stress (oh, such a long story but it goes beyond what we think of as ordinary stress). Plus, a few weeks before I developed Graves, I had my first ever flu shot! Who knows what tipped what molecular scale in the wrong direction . . . Anyway, for those interested in general information about the efficacy and safety of vaccines, contact the National Vaccine Information Center (). They're a well established advocacy group lobbying against mandatory vaccines for school age children and working to educate the public on vaccination policies, risks, deaths, etc. For more information you can write to them: 512 W. Maple Ave. #206 Vienna, VA 22180. I'm sure they're on the net, too.
