Guest guest
I really don't think that the new insulins are a " result of clever pharmaceutical marketing. " I think that maybe more people are put on insulin who might be able get by on diet alone without constantly monitoring them for the side effects of the animal insulin and high sugar levels. It is now easier to keep people within the recommended range and therefore there SHOULD be less catastropic diabetic side effects. But then again this whole theory of range and tight control is based on ONE giant STUDY. So that is suspect too. Maybe the new insulins have nothing to do with a BSE scare. Maybe you are right Elaine, maybe it is just mighty fine marketing.
