Guest guest
I recently finished eight weeks of proton therapy at the MD Proton Center in Houston, TX. I can say unquestionably that for me it was my best choice. Yes, there was some discomfort with the procedure involving insertion of a small balloon in the posterior to protect surrounding and underlying tissue as the beam was focused entirely on the affected area of the prostate. But, overall, the process was painless with negligible side effects. The radiation oncologists and technicians are all professional and highly regarded by peers. I would suggest that you contact the MD Proton Center directly. They will provide whatever information you require in making an appropriate choice and will assist you in determining your insurance eligibility.
