Guest guest
, Good to hear you are doing well from antibiotic therapy. I am happy to know I may have helped at least one person with RA. I found something good for inflammation and have been able to get off the Lodine. Thought I would tell you. It is called Inflammatone and full of different stuff (tumeric, ginger, boswella, etc.) that contains no drug. Really works for me. Tell me about your diet. Wondering if you found some things you can eat that I don't know about. I am still very careful what I eat. Guest guest
Hi Kay, < Good to hear you are doing well from antibiotic therapy. I am happy to know I may have helped at least one person with RA.> You helped me immensely, Kay. I will always be grateful for that. <I found something good for inflammation and have been able to get off > the Lodine. > That is fantastic! <It is called Inflammatone and full of different stuff (tumeric, ginger, boswella, etc.) that contains no drug. > Really works for me.> Awesome! I should have mentioned that I take about 4000mg of fish oil caps daily. It has helped my inflammation quite a bit. I was taking 8000mg but starting having stomach issues o I am working back up to hopefully 6000 mg daily. > Tell me about your diet. Wondering if you found some things you can > eat that I don't know about. I am still very careful what I eat.> I was real careful at first, Kay, but frankly the Prednisone had me wanting to eat anything I could get my hands on. As I weaned off the Pred, I was able to control my appetite more and more. Unlike many, I have no problems with wheat. What gives me real issues--I mean to the point of feeling horrible with pain and tired is refined sugar. If I have a candy bar or small piece of cake, that is fine, but if I pig out--like I was on Pred--my hands swell and I go into lots of pain. Other than removing refined sugar -- or just keeping it to a minimum -- my diet is bsically low carbs. I have never eaten much red meat, so that has always been low in my diet. One thing about diet I do now is read all labels carefully. If something contains corn syrup, high fructose syrup, partially hydrogenated oil of any sort, etc. I keep away from them. Until I started reading labels carefully I never realized just how much junk is in our foods. Example, Worstershire Sauce is full of corn sypup. Why? Makes no sense to me

Guest guest
, Yes, I do fish oil also. I use Pro EPA and take 6 a day. I know what you mean about sugar....Pure Poison to the human body. I have been cheating on my diet and getting away with some stuff lately. I still love cheese and did not give it up although some folks tell me I should. Thanks for responding. Guest guest
I am allergic to Modic, but before I knew I was allergic to it, my ortho dr. gave it to me. (He is who I first went to see because I thought my pain was from bone spurs I have). I was only on it for 2 days, but with those 2 days I did not have any relief from it at all. I don't know if you have to take it for a while before you feel any relief from it or not. But on that second day I was taken off because of allergic reactions. Sorry I could not help you with any info. I hope it works for you. Guest guest
I've been on and off Mobic since last Nov. It works for a while, then I don't see any help with it. As a matter of fact I stopped it again this morning. What worries me is the side affects from something that really isn't helping. Guest guest
I am on it now and I believe that it worked for about the first 48 hours. I was very excited. Now I'm pretty upset. What do I tell my doctor? She already thinks I'm overly confident in my ability to self-read. love/peace yellowkatshapug@... wrote: I've been on and off Mobic since last Nov. Guest guest
I know how you feel. It is so discouraging to have something work, then suddenly not feel any benefits from it. I told my doctor that I had stopped the Mobic and she put me on Relafan. That stuff made me so dizzy I couldn't see straight. That's why I thought I'd try the Mobic again....This morning I took 2 ibprofen and suffered with the pain it didn't take care of. RA is just one nasty thing to deal with!!! I hope you can get some help from your doctor. I have yet to see mine again. Guest guest
Mobic, Celebrex, Vioxx, Bextra, none of them helped my RA pain, its RA for God's sake! Athough I did find one use for these kinds of drugs. I seem to be very prone to twisting my wrists or hurting them, I guess due to RA. I used Celebrex for a few days the last time I hurt my wrists and that did help it. > Hey there Zoom..I was on Mobic for a little while, didn't help me at > all.But then again none of the anti inflam.drugs has helped me..It may > or may not help you.Everyone is diff. Guest guest
Well it sure did give a good show about 12 hours in, then I (kinda) woke up this morning and it seemed like I had never started on it. I don't know. I was hit with some yummy packets of stress yesterday, so maybe this is just my body telling all help to " go stuff it! " . oh well > Hey there Zoom..I was on Mobic for a little while, didn't help me at > all.But then again none of the anti inflam.drugs has helped me..It may > or may not help you.Everyone is diff.
