Guest guest
I know it can't be the MTX because I've only been on it a little over a week, but SOMETHING is making me better. The swelling in my hands is down about 50 percent and I have more flexibility and strength in my hands and wrists than I have had in months. The RA came on virtually overnight, brought on by a combination of having West Nile Virus (mild case) and my husband having a very severe case (WNV induced encephalitis). I spent an incredibly stressful two weeks while he fought of this deadly virus. Apparently I had RA for many years, but it was so mild it went undiagnosed. Now that I know the symptoms, I can see it. The stress made it flare into full blown RA overnight. I am wondering if this " flare " (if you can call three months of pain a flare) is finally beginning to subside a bit. I just know I can do things this week that I haven't been able to do for months. Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, I am so glad to hear that you are better ! I don't see why the MTX can't be contributing positively even at this early date. It's a blessing !
