Guest guest
Good question. I had recently been managing my RA quite well and now in these last few days I feel a flare-up coming on. My feet and hands are bright red, hot and slightly swollen. I have never had RA in my hands before so I don't know what to expect. I am really scared that I will no longer be able to type, dial a phone or cook dinner if I cannot get control over this. Of course, now there is the long holiday weekend to contend with and I cannot do a damn thing except wait and see. I cried last night, I guess I was stupid to think that my RA was in control for good! As for being crippled, well if you are on a TNF blocker, you shouldn't have any lasting deformity, should you? At least, that was my understanding. Before I went on TNF drugs, I was icing my feet up to 5 times a day to keep my swelling down, and I really credit that for having no real permanent damage, just ugly ankles! I would really recommend icing frequently for swelling if you are not doing that already. Happy Thanksgiving,
