Guest guest
Went yesterday and met with the oncologist for the first time. At this point in time he is not going to do anything different than was done before when seeing just the urology doctor. Good news is my latest PSA stayed about the same at arounf 30. Overall, the meet went pretty well. Think I even impressed him that I had some knowledge about various things. Mostly due to you guys who have helped immensely. He is an oncologist who specializes in prostate cancer, so that too is a good thing. I was impressed with him too. I have another appointment in two months. He wants to do a bone marrow test since I havent had one of those yet. Anyway, even though it has spread into the bone he sees no reason for alarm and I am glad of that. We talked about several possible drug treatments to try later. He thinks doing the TURP proceedure would be a good idea too. SO all in all a good experience. Looking forward to seeing him again in November. This Friday morning I go in for my hernia surgery. Dave Halvorsen
