I received mail from the Internet Marketing person at

Smilow Comprehensive Prostate

Cancer Center

at NYU Langone Medical

. I can’t say I remember hearing of this Center before, but it is

claimed (with all modesty) that the lead doctors are listed the ‘best

doctors’ in a number of publications. I was also surprised to see that

one of them - their Director, Dr. Lepor …..

pioneered the “nerve sparring” [sic] radical prostatectomy –

until now I thought that Dr Walsh made that claim to fame.

Be that as it may, there were three items that caught

my attention: two trials, one for HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) and

the other for a variation on PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) which may be of

interest to men in New York.

The final item was the reference to Holistic

Much of what was said there made sense to me and I wondered if anyone had

consulted this section of the Center.
